Off to the Ass End of Paradise
Well, I'm off to New Smyrna Beach Florida for a bit of a vacation. Well, let's call it a "trip" for now, and I'll reserve the term "vacation" for my return. I'll be stuck in a two-bedroom, 1400 square foot condominium with my sexagenarian (it's not a bad word, look it up) parents for several glorious days and nights. This is also our first trip with the baby, and, to tell the truth, it has my stress level way, way up.
I'll also be dealing with no broadband. Let me let that sink in . . . no (as in none) broadband. If I'm lucky, the wifi in the laptop will be able to pick up a wayward 802.11 signal from someone's apartment or house. Worse comes to worst, I may have to drive to a coffee shop or a bookstore or something. Absolute worstest? Dialup.
I checked out some pictures of New Smyrna Beach, and I think it may make small towns look like metropolises in comparisons.
Wish me luck, and may God have mercy on my soul.
Oh: On the Topamax side of things. Upped the dosage again today. Felt a bit Topa-dopey today, and the hand numbness kind of sucks, but it's not extremely bad. I've had a headache over the past couple days, but it's hard to tell if it is migrainous or allergies. The dogwoods are in bloom around here, and that's usually a bad sign for me.
I've got a research project ahead of me when I return. I want to see if migraines can be triggered by eye or sinus pain. One of the joys of fatherhood is having a daughter that kicks inappropriately. She caught me square in the left eye the other day, and that seemed to push me into a migraine episode. I've also noticed on days that my left ethmoid sinus seems to be irritated I am more likely to have a migraine episode.
I need to do some reading.
Peace.
R
